Stevvi Alexander

As the daughter of a Pentecostal pastor, Stevvi Alexander has been singing for as long as she can remember honing her ear in countless church and school choirs.  After completing college and facing a stalled record deal she found herself singing demos when she was referred to audition for Kenny Lattimore.  She got the gig and has since toured the world extensively with artists including Diana Ross, Sheryl Crow, Justin Timberlake,  Fleetwood Mac, Barbra Streisand and most recently as a featured artist on Game of Thrones Live touring with Ramin Djawadi, the show’s composer.    She has recorded with artists including Macy Gray, Colbie Caillat and Incubus and can be heard on commercials for Mercedes Benz,  VH-1, Lowe’s and Walmart with Craig Robinson.   Since 2009,  she has sourced all of the vocal sections on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” working closely with The Roots as their vocal contractor.  Through her company Choirgirl Music, she also regularly hires sections/choirs for shows including “SNL”, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “The David Letterman Show” among others.  She was featured in the Oscar-winning film “20 Feet From Stardom” and holds a masters degree from NYU in Music Therapy choosing to pursue the degree based on her belief that music heals above all else.  Aside from her professional work as a singer/contractor/music therapist she is one half of the synth folk band Public Art with her bandmate Jan Ozveren with whom she writes and plays guitar.
